Your data, treated properly

Privacy & Cookies

LAST UPDATED: 17 JULY 2026

This policy explains what Green Signal AI Ltd collects on this website, why, and what your rights are. Short version: very little, only with a reason, and never sold.

1. Who we are

Green Signal AI Ltd, registered in England and Wales, is the data controller for this website. Contact: hello@greensignal.uk.

2. What we collect and why

  • When you contact us (form or email): your name, business name, email, optional phone number and whatever you tell us about your business. We use it to reply and to prepare your free audit. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
  • If you become a client: the information needed to deliver the work and invoice you. Legal basis: performing our contract, and legal obligations for accounting records.
  • Analytics (only with your consent): anonymised usage statistics such as pages visited, so we can improve the site. Legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time below.

We do not sell your data, we do not send marketing without asking first, and we configure the AI tools we use so that your information is not used to train third-party models.

3. Cookies

This site sets no cookies at all until you make a choice. There are only two things we store:

  • Your cookie choice itself, kept in your browser's local storage so we don't ask you on every page.
  • One optional analytics cookie (Google Analytics), set only if you press "That's fine" on the banner. Decline and nothing is set.

Change your cookie choice at any time. Withdrawing consent stops future analytics; you can also clear cookies in your browser to remove anything already set.

4. Who else sees data

  • Our website host, which processes server logs (IP addresses) to serve pages securely.
  • Google Analytics, only if you consented, with IP anonymisation switched on.
  • Our email provider, when you write to us.

Some providers process data outside the UK; where they do, transfers rely on recognised safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

5. How long we keep things

Enquiries we don't take forward: up to 12 months, then deleted. Client records: for the engagement plus the periods UK law requires for accounting. Analytics data: per Google Analytics' standard retention settings.

6. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict its use, object to processing, or port it elsewhere. Email hello@greensignal.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and significant changes will be flagged on this page.
